Featured Artist
After working her way through an encyclopedia of embroidery stitches to explore the structure of stitches and making samples of each stitch, “stitcher” Isobel Currie went on to include acrylic boxes in her work to create unique, dimensional forms. You’ll learn how her process evolved in our feature article, “What Stitch Can Be.”

Campus Column
The work of Ben Copperwheat, professor of fibers at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), is characterized by bold colors, graphic patterns, and distinctive designs. His colorful fashions and style have led to collaborations with top designers, such as Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Read more about his journey in our Campus column.

Featured Artist
Everything is inspirational to contemporary artist Mersuka Dopazo—the sites, the sounds, the colors, and the people she encounters in her travels. Her towering paintings portray the world around her. Read more in our feature article, “Enthusiasm for Experimentation.”

Process Column
In “The Language of Grass,” our Process column, learn how artist Susan Goethel Campbell creates unique “relief prints” by combining her love of printmaking and her experience as a gardener. Her living artwork is a “cyclical process of creating” that is both beautiful and eco-friendly.

Fiber Reimagined III
In this issue, you’ll find the juried results of our Fiber Reimagined III call for entry. Every imaginable fiber has been stitched, quilted, woven, collaged, sculpted, and more to create an amazing exhibition that you do not want to miss.

Business Column
In 2016, Windy Chien made a commitment to make a different knot every day for a year. Little did she know that experience would be the beginning of something big. In our Business column, you’ll discover what preceded her commitment to knot making and how that led to the art she creates today.
