Beth Smith

Managing Editor & Exhibitions Director

Beth Smith is the managing editor and exhibitions director of Fiber Art Now Magazine. She brings more than two decades of arts leadership to the position, including nearly nine years as founding executive director of Visions Art Museum: Contemporary Quilts + Textiles in San Diego, California where she resides.

Lori Butanis

Creative Director

As the creative director since its beginning, Lori’s focus is to nurture Fiber Art Now into the guiding publication for fiber art. She brings almost 30 years of publication, brand, marketing and design experience with a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Art History.

Cami Smith

Media Manager & Contributing Editor

Seattle-based mixed media and textile artist Cami Smith brings 30+ years of creative practice and arts leadership to her work. A former Kennedy Center executive, educator, and Washington State Arts Commissioner, she has contributed to Fiber Art Now since its first issue in 2011 as writer, juror, and advocate for contemporary fine craft.

Barbara Delaney

Editor

Barbara Delaney is the editor and a contributing writer for Fiber Art Now magazine, roles she has held since 2018. She especially enjoys meeting artists from around the world and telling their stories in feature articles and studio columns. Barbara makes her home in Massachusetts.

Jen Moniz

Operations Manager

Jen Moniz joined Fiber Art Now in 2018, starting with bookkeeping and gradually expanding her role to include customer support, email newsletters, and Instagram. She is constantly inspired by the creativity of the fiber art community. Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time in nature, hiking and camping, with her husband and young daughter.

Emily Pillard

Marketing Coordinator

Emily Pillard is an artist and creative with a BFA in Painting and an MA in Art History & Museum Studies. She joined the Fiber Art Now team in 2022 and in addition to her position as Marketing Coordinator, Emily also writes the Campus Connection column for the magazine. She spends her free time painting and hiking in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Mike McCormick

Publisher

Michael McCormick founded the quarterly publication Quiltfolk in 2016. After traveling the country and meeting makers, his passion for sharing the stories and art led him to take over publishing Fiber Art Now in 2022.
