Feature Artist
Feature artist Karola Pezarro designs simply drawn figures that represent her thoughts, dreams, and memories. Fascinated with thread and its different qualities, she uses a technique she developed to create individual figures. Fiberesque Column

Artist Visit
Fiber Art Now’s media manager and community engagement coordinator Cami Smith recently enjoyed a visit with artist Michele Landel in her home just outside Paris, France. There Smith was treated to a treasure trove. Enjoy Landel’s realistic floral pieces, and discover more about her work in “Moonlight on Old Linen.”
Opposites Attract

We were treated to impressive woven pieces, awesome quilts, unique wearables, inspiring vessels, amazing installations, and much more. Make time to savor each page in this incredible exhibition.
Business Column
In our Business column, you’ll meet Thabisa Mjo, founder of Mash.T Design Studio in Johannesburg, South Africa. The studio promotes hands-on manufacturing and collaboration with master craftspeople across South Africa, several of which are introduced in the article. Colorful components, natural materials, thoughtful collaboration, and highly skilled artisans.
Feature Artist
Feature artist Charlotte Blake creates amazingly impressive weavings. Large is her favorite way to work. Most of her pieces are woven on a floor loom and manipulated off-loom into their varied forms. Blake’s art has evolved over time as has her process. Discover more in “Finding Creative Freedom.”
Our fall Community Enrichment grant was awarded to Sigal Felber, who believes that crafting classes will encourage students to come to school, stay in school, and stay off screens, while learning lifelong skills.
