About the Authors
After studying textiles and fashion design, Siobhan Watt specialized in screen printing before turning her printing skills to developing bold and simple punch needle designs.
Siobhan’s sister Rachel Lawson, a needlework expert, felt strongly that Siobhan’s punch needle designs should be shared so others could enjoy them. Together, the sisters founded The Modern Crafter, a source for information on punch needle and other crafts.
The Modern Crafter has had their punch needle creations featured in Mollie Makes magazine and on the front cover of Not On The High Street’s Christmas catalog. The Modern Crafter has also had their punch needle kits featured in 91 Magazine. Siobhan and Rachel have taught others the forgotten craft of punch needle through workshops and demos, and they are part of an encouraging community on social media. www.themoderncrafter.co.uk
