Larsen Salon Series: Liz Collins & Julia Bryan-Wilson

The Larsen Salon Series will host a conversation between textile artist Liz Collins and curator/art historian Julia Bryan-Wilson on February 27 at the Ligne Roset Showroom in New York. The event will explore the intersections of art, craft, and design through a queer feminist lens, with Collins also revealing a special edition scarf she designed during her Artist-in-Residence at LongHouse.

Liz Collins is recognized for her experimental work in textiles, blending abstraction with queer and feminist references. Her art explores the relationship between structure and entropy, using materials like fabric, yarn, and painting to address social, political, and architectural systems. Julia Bryan-Wilson, a professor at Columbia University, specializes in LGBTQ+ art history and feminist theory. She has authored several influential books on art, textiles, and radical practices in art history. The Salon Series continues the legacy of LongHouse founder Jack Lenor Larsen, fostering dialogues at the intersection of art, architecture, and design.
